Yamaha and Hutton score third Outright at AORC, 1st in E1

Queenslander ‘King Kirk’ Hutton had one of the best results of his four-year Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) career yesterday, winning his class and a highly coveted Outright podium spot. The 36-year-old, from Kobble Creek (in the Pine River’s Shire), took the top prize in Championship E1 and third Outright at round eight of the AORC, held at Cherrabah Resort, near Warwick.

Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha’s ‘King Kirk’ Hutton rode to dual top-10 Outright and second-in-class-finishes at rounds three and four of the Yamaha Australian Off-Road Championship (AORC) held near Blayney (NSW). Hutton, from Kobble Creek (near Brisbane), claimed second spot on the Championship E1 class podium in round three (yesterday) and round four (today) behind main 250cc rival, Ben Kearney.

‘King’ Kirk continues QLD domination

Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha racer ‘King’ Kirk Hutton smoked a strong field today to take the opening round win of the Yamaha South-East Queensland Enduro Series. Hutton, 35, already holds the Queensland Enduro number one plate after winning the Yamaha Queensland Two-Day Enduro Championships in March. The Kobble Creek (Pine Rivers Shire, Brisbane) resident finished this weekend’s contest at Cherrabah Resort (near Warwick) nearly 3.5-minutes ahead of second-placed Pro Chris Reading.

Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha racer ‘King Kirk’ Hutton beat a strong field to wrap up his fourth Australian Enduro Title at the weekend. Hutton, 35, from Kobble Creek (in Pine River’s Shire, Brisbane) was the fastest 250cc Four-Stroke rider in the 2009 Hog’s Breath Cafe Australian 4-Day Enduro (A4DE) held at Orange, NSW. Hutton was also the 6th quickest rider Overall from the 315 entrants.

Hutton scores dual podiums at NSW Sprint Series opener

Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha Pro E1 class rider, ‘King’ Kirk Hutton, has shown he will be a serious contender in this year’s Australian off-road contests with strong results at the first and second rounds of the NSW Sprint Series. Hutton rode his WR250F to 6th Outright and dual 2nd-place finishes in Pro E1 today and yesterday at the race, held at Gwandalan (NSW). “This weekend was good. The track was very physical, with lots of whoops and no time to rest,” Hutton said.

Hutton and Yamaha trounce Roberts again in QLD

‘King’ Kirk Hutton beat former Australian Off-Road Champion AJ Roberts today for the second time in a row this season, this time aboard the new Yamaha Black WR450F. Hutton, who won the opening Yamaha Sprint Cross-Country round of the year aboard the new Yamaha white WR250F, was again victorious today at the first round of the Queensland Enduro-Cross Series, held near Gympie. The Ballard’s Wellard Yamaha rider won the event - which attracted a huge 241 entrants - by 25-seconds after the six, six-minute laps.

Hutton and new YAMAHA WHITE WR250F beat Roberts in QLD

Yamaha racer ‘King’ Kirk Hutton rode the new, white, WR250F to victory against Honda rival AJ Roberts at the opening round of Queensland off-road competition at the weekend. Hutton won the first two, 30-min mass start Pro Class races at the Yamaha Sprint Cross-Country round near Esk. The 35-year-old from Kobble Creek (in the Pine River’s Shire) battled to second in the final two races, even despite losing his goggles in race two and suffering severe scratching to his right eye.
